It is so interesting to notice that nature seeks to strike a balancing act in everything. Economists speak of a balancing act when they refer to healthy growth of the economy. In the field of account a healthy recording of transactions is maintained through some form of a balancing act as they say 'every debit has a corresponding credit'. So, it comes into my mind that a true picture of life has to be viewed in the context of a balancing act if we are to capture a true meaning of life.
The principle of a balancing act is also demonstrated by a coin. This brings me to an understanding that that 'LIFE IS LIKE A COIN'. If you look at a coin you will immediatly understand is symbolic of a significant value, and that such value is an interpretation of our intrinsic and extrinsic value as individuals. Ofcoarse, a single coin may not sufficient reflect our value as individuals, but for example being in possession of asset with networth of 1,000.000.00 dollars also means that our million dollar assets are made up of coins to that value..
Let me get straight to the point. A coin is a two sided piece of metal that carries value with it. A coin with the head side only is useless and bears no value, much in the same way, a coin with the tail side only is useless and bears no value.
A true coin is constituent of both the head and the tail sides working together synergistically. Each side needs it's opposite in order to be a complete coin and this is the only way that value will be attached to the coin in a holistic way.
The difference between a break through and failure, happiness and sadness in our our life lies in our ability in understanding the balancing act and looking in the flipside of our life coin for us to lead more meaningful lives.
Accountants say every debit has got a corresponding credit. Life in general goes much the same way. People must understand that nature always seeks to create a balancing act. Every positive situation in life has got it's corresponding negative. The opposite is also true.
every time a person goes through some negative situation in life, for example divorce, retrenchment, collapsing of the business etc, people must look on the flipside of the situation. Divorce for example of a negative situation capable of ruining down one's life, yet if one can look at the flipside of divorce they will begin the good side of it. When they see the up side of it, they must focus on that up side to bring about the balancing act.
The same is true with retrenchment. A person may be retrenched after working of a long time for a particular organisation. Negative as that may sound, that person could be having an excellent opportunity to do something better that will pay out far better than if they were employed. When they get retrenched They will the organisation with a wealth of experience and monetary pay-out. and that can enable them to break through a new start that could make them very successful.
On the flipside the person could be very successful and with huge bank balances and other assets, yet the person could be leaving on the threat of loosing everything they possess.
Therfore it is important to always think of the balancing act in life and that should trigger you to always look on the flipside of everything are, do, or have. And this will always ensure that you thrive in life.
